Kidde KF30 Heat Alarm - Mains Powered with Battery Back-up

The Firex KF30 from Kidde is a mains powered heat alarm that is simple to use but very effective in the detection it is designed for. Heat alarms are suitable for use throughout the home in humid or dusty environments where an optical or ionisation smoke alarm is unsuitable, e.g. kitchens, loft spaces and garages.

It is possible to inter-link the KF30 with up to 23 other Firex hard-wired alarms (including smoke, ionisation and CO) so that if one alarm sounds, all others in the circuit will sound offering a very effective warning system. By utilising the REM-TH - a wired remote test and hush unit - interlinked alarms can be remotely controlled, however the KF30 also has a "memory" so that you are easily able to identify a source unit within a network of inter connected alarms.

Further functions of this Firex alarm includes a combined test/hush button for regular testing, auto reset after activation and a tamper-resistant locking device to prevent unauthorised removal of the alarm without the use of a tool. It is mains operated with a 9V alkaline battery back-up and has a sound output of 85dB minimum at 3 meters.

Also available in the range is the Kidde SMK4896, a surface mount pattress designed for use for installations involving cable entry via trunking or conduit.
